Bible Verses (C,D)
(Canaan) land
(Gen 13:12,14-15 KJV) "Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan...
{14} And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
{15} For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever."
caught away Philip
(Acts 8:39-40 KJV) "And when they were
come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord
caught
away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing. {40} But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea."
caught up
(2 Cor 12:1-4 KJV) "It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will
come to
visions and
revelations of the Lord.
{2} I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one
caught up to the third heaven.
{3} And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)
{4} How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter."
come up
(Rev 4:1-2 KJV) "After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said,
Come up hither, and I will show thee things which must be hereafter. {2} And immediately I was in the spirit; and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne."
carried me away in the spirit
(Rev 21:10 KJV) "And he
carried me
away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,"
changed into the same image
(2 Cor 3:18 KJV) "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are
changed into the same
image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord."
being transformed into his likeness
(2 Cor 3:18 NIV) "And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit."
change our vile body
(Phil 3:20-21 KJV) "For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: {21} Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself."
I wait, till my change come
(Job 14:14 KJV) "If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come."
chariots of fire
(2 Ki 6:17-18 KJV) "And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and
chariots of
fire round about Elisha.
{18} And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the LORD, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha."
Ten Commandments
1)Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
2) Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
3) Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
4) Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
5) Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
6) Thou shalt not
kill.
7) Thou shalt not commit adultery.
8) Thou shalt not steal.
9) Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
10) Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
(Exo 20:3-17 KJV)
captivity
(2 Ki 24:14-17 KJV) "And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valour, even ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and smiths: none remained, save the poorest sort of the people of the land.
{15} And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his officers, and the mighty of the land, those carried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.
{16} And all the men of might, even seven thousand, and craftsmen and smiths a thousand, all that were strong and apt for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.
{17} And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah his father's brother king in his stead, and changed his name to Zedekiah."
change not
(Mal 3:6 KJV) "For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed."
(Heb 13:8 KJV) "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever."
chasteneth
(Heb 12:5-7, 11 KJV) "...My son, despise not thou the
chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
{6} For whom the Lord loveth he
chasteneth, and
scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
{7} If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
{11} ...Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby."
we are the clay
(Isa 64:8 KJV) "But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand."
conceived, and bare Cain
(Gen 4:1-2 KJV) "And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she
conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.
{2} And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground."
conceived, and bare Enoch
(Gen 4:17 KJV) "And Cain knew his wife; and she
conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch."
continue in my word
(John 8:31-32 KJV) "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him,
If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
{32} And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
LORD have created it
(Isa 45:5-8 KJV) "I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:
{6} That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.
{7} I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
{8} Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it."
In the beginning
(Gen 1:1 KJV) "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."
(Gen 2:1-2 KJV) "Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
{2} And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made."
new creature
(2 Cor 5:17 KJV) "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new
creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
nailing it to his cross
(Col 2:14 KJV) "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the
way, nailing it to his cross;"
cursed is the ground for thy sake
(Gen 3:17-19 KJV) "And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it:
cursed is the
ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
{18} Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
{19} In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return."
not again curse the ground any more
(Gen 8:20-22 KJV) "And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
{21} And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again
curse the
ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
{22} While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease."
there shall be no more curse
(Rev 22:2-3 KJV) "In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
{3} And there shall be no more
curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:"
second death
(Rev 20:4-5 KJV) "And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they
lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
{5} But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.
This is the first resurrection."
(Rev 20:12-15 KJV) "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
{13} And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
{14} And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the
second death.
{15} And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
death of the wicked
(Ezek 33:11 KJV) "Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?"
delivered
(Joel 2:30-32 KJV)"And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
{31} The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood,
before the great and the
terrible day of the LORD come.
{32} And it shall come to pass, that
whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call."
delivered of the child
(John 16:20-22 KJV) "Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
{21} A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the
anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.
{22} And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you."
delivered from the bondage
(Rom 8:16-23 KJV) "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: {17} And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. {18} For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. {19} For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. {20} For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, {21} Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
{22} For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. {23} And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body."
desiring to be clothed
(2 Cor 5:1-4 KJV) "For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
{2} For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
{3} If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
{4} For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life."
desolate
(Lev 26:31-35 KJV) "And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours.
{32} And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it.
{33} And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste.
{34} Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your enemies' land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths.
{35} As long as it lieth desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it."
shalt surely die
(Gen 2:16-17 KJV) "And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
{17} But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."
(Rom 5:12 KJV) "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:"
not discern the face of the sky
(Mat 16:1-4 KJV) "The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would show them a sign from heaven.
{2} He answered and said unto them,
When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.
{3} And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?
{4} A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas.
And he left them, and departed."
disobedient and gainsaying people
(Rom 10:21 KJV) "But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people."
rebellious people
(Isa 65:2 KJV) "I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;"
dividing the word of truth
(2 Tim 2:15 KJV) "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
dream (Joseph's)
(Gen 37:9-10 KJV) "And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.
{10} And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?"
great wonder in heaven
(Rev 12:1-2 KJV) "And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
{2} And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered."
