The Lord Jesus Christ had a problem with certain Pharisees (Hypocrites) and Lawyers during His ministry. Today Conservative Christian and the Body of Christ have!In today's world, many lawyers and legislatures have transgressed the Commandments of God (and things God hates, Prov 6:16-19) by their traditions and supplementary laws, and have nullified the Commandments of God, like "Thou shalt not steal" in stealing from the Trust Fund (Advice), and also "Thou shalt not murder" in not passing legislation to stop destroying untold number of babies (Shedding of Innocent Blood) by abortion doctors or should I say butchers. They "lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and... touch not the burdens with one of your fingers," like the Health Care Law, known as ObamaCare, who exempt themselves and shoved it down our throats, etc. Made the commandment of God of none effect(Mat 15:1-9 KJV) "Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying, {2} Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread. {3} But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? {4} For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. {5} But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; {6} And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. {7} Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, {8} This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. {9} But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." Note: "made the commandment of God of none effect" or "nullified the commandment of God" Two commandments hang all the law and the prophets(Mat 22:34-40 KJV) "But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together. {35} Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, {36} Master, which is the great commandment in the law? {37} Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. {38} This is the first and great commandment. {39} And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. {40} On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." Hypocrites...appear beautiful outward(Mat 23:27-28 KJV) "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. {28} Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity." What is written in the law?(Luke 10:25-26 KJV) "And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? {26} He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?" Rejected the counsel of God against themselves(Luke 7:29-30 KJV) "And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John. {30} But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him." Lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens(Luke 11:44-46 KJV) "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them. {45} Then answered one of the lawyers, and said unto him, Master, thus saying thou reproachest us also. {46} And he said, Woe unto you also, ye [expert in the Law] lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers." Ye have taken away the key of knowledge(Luke 11:52 KJV) "Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered."
