When Christ comes and after the Resurrection, the Wrath of Lamb
(Rev 6:16-17) and of the Lord God
Rev 14:7-11, 17-20) Almighty
(Rev 11:15-18;
19:11-21) come. And the seven last
plagues, the seven vials of the wrath of God
(Rev 15-16:17) will be poured out. If they
will be the last plagues, then there must be previous ones. Some will occur during the end time
Great Tribulation when the two witnesses will be prophesying, turning waters to blood
and smiting the earth with plagues
(Revelation 11:3-12) -- during the sounding of the first six trumpets
(Rev 8:1-9:21;
10:7; 11:14-15 -- similar to how it was done in Egypt
(Exo 7-13) before the Exodus. And when Christ comes there is going to be a plague of great hail
to fall out of heaven
(Rev 16:18-21).
Pre-Trib Rapture believers say that Christians will not be on the earth during the Tribulation,
because they believe that the Heavenly Father would not let His children experience such an ordeal,
and that it is time for the wrath of God. The plagues during the Tribulation may appear to be the
wrath of God, but it does not say they are.
Pretribbers need to understand "tribulation" does not mean "wrath of God." In the N.T. the Greek word
thlisis (G2347), which is from the word
thlibo (G2346), was translated "tribulation" in
Matthew 24:21 and
John 16:33, "afflicted" in
Matthew 24:9, "affliction" in
Mark 4:17, "anguish" in
John 16:21, "persecution" in
Acts 11:19, trouble in
2 Corinthians 1:4 and
8, and so on. Things that we as Christians
experience during our journey in this world
John 16:33.
